Hi Hattee - in this show we're looking at sharia as it already exists in this country - dealing with Islamic divorces and as a form of mediation or arbitration that Muslims (or non-Muslims) can use to settle civil disputes. So only those who decided to would come under sharia law - although whether this is always a free choice is a matter of debate...

Do we really need some other legal system undermining our country's judiciary? If there are areas that are not (or no longer) covered by our laws, eg, adultery, then that is fair enough ... so long as the penalties imposed do not contravene our laws, eg, illegal confinement, extortion, human rights, etc.
