Stand up with Current TV to educate our audience about an important issue. For our first Current Cause video callout we are commemorating Earth Day 2011 with a focus on the environment.

Over the years, our planet has been adversely affected by our own actions. As a result, we find ourselves coping with a more chaotic Earth, with more and more changes to our climate, severe weather events, and natural disasters.

The story is not over though. Individuals and groups can help change things for the better, and we want to celebrate their actions. Since Current's founding we have been dedicated to empowering storytellers and shining a light where others don't. Here's your chance to spotlight how people are making a difference for the health of our world.

We are focusing this callout on the environment and the climate crisis. We want you to create a 30-second video that spotlights a person, group, or company who is doing something unique and interesting to save the planet. Try to focus on the most innovative and exciting groups you can find, with high production values and engaging subjects on camera.

All approved submissions will live on Current.com in a dedicated page showcasing all your stories. Five videos as selected by Current will air on Current TV and the respective producers will earn $2,500. Out of the five videos selected, one will be selected as the "Premiere" video, debuting on Current TV around Earth Day, and the producer will earn an additional $2,500 ($5,000 in total).

• Your video should be exactly 30 seconds in length.
• Your video should focus on people and/or organizations that are making positive changes to help the environment, not exposés of environmental criminals or editorial statements.
• Anyone who appears in your video must sign a release form. Anyone identified as representing a non-profit or corporation must have a signed release from the authorized personnel of that organization allowing this association.
• Refrain from offensive sexual, politically partisan, or violent themes in your video.
• You must have the rights to all images and music used in your video (see "Resources" section for access to the APM music library of cleared songs). Do not incorporate assets from other websites, including "royalty-free" sites, or any recognizable 3rd-party products (e.g. personal electronics, soda, alcohol, cars, etc) or logos. Ensure those who appear in your video are not wearing any apparel featuring 3rd-party logos or copyrighted designs.

In order for your submission to be eligible for selection you must obtain the following:

• Signed release form for every individual appearing in your video, even if they are in the background and/or not recognizable. SAG and other guild/union actors are not eligible to appear.
• Signed release form for every individual who worked on your video.
• Signed location release form for each location featured in your video even if such location is not recognizable (e.g. interior shots in a residence).
