The Duwamish River in Seattle is one of the most toxic places in the US - that's why it was selected as a superfund site and will get cleaned up over the years with hundreds of millions of dollars, paid for by the polluters. James Rasmussen and the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition that he coordinates, play the role of public outreach group in this difficult process, making sure the people who are impacted the most are being involved and heard. Since this work can't be shown in 30 seconds, I decided to focus on his motivation. After all, James has as good a reason to feel with the river as there can be: As a member of the local Indian tribe, he IS Duwamish!
