James Rasmussen and the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition that he coordinates have already achieved a lot: Intertidal habitats where there used to be industrial sites, restored creeks that used to flow thru stormdrains...but the big deed still needs to be done: The parties that will pay for the clean up, which are also the ones that caused the pollution, have to be convinced that it is necessary to achieve a water quality that is so high that people will be able to eat the fish out of it again, without getting sick. James is the kind of guy who will hold on to this goal no matter how long and how hard he has to fight for it.
