Take Charge of Your Future—By Taking Care of Earth

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Honey Brown Hope Foundation. As we move forward, we will continue to encourage respect for earth and its diversity through our annual, “We Love America Healthy, Clean and Green” environmental/diversity calendar.

In the interest of humanity and as a commitment to our planet’s health, the foundation's founder and executive director, Tammie Lang Campbell, created the “We Love America Healthy, Clean and Green” calendar in conjunction with the Honey Brown Hope Foundation. This educational calendar provides young people with an opportunity to express their creativity and allows viewers to see the beauty of our planet through the eyes of our youth.

As a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s work to keep America clean and appreciate its diversity, a 2011 calendar is given to the public in exchange for a 2010 calendar or any recyclable item during our kick-off diversity and environmentally friendly celebration. This event features Houston’s diverse talent and this year it was held at Emancipation Park on Saturday, January 22nd.

It is our hope that the 2011 calendar will be useful in scheduling and/or planning diversity appreciation and environmental awareness initiatives, as well as, inspire all to preserve earth and pass on its blessings to future generations.

Please support us in this campaign by valuing diversity and reducing/reusing/recycling/conserving energy and water!
