    • The eerie images really captivate, and the music is perfect. Maybe let the phone and/or the ericson logo stay on the screen a second or two longer for brand recognition. GL

    • I had to watch this a few times just to see the images again. The color is fantastic. Some of those clips will be stuck in my head for a while. As a commercial I worry it might only serve to raise my curiosity. I would be left wondering what i just saw an ad for. If you have time check out the Mountain Dew ad "Happy Birthday".

    • Beautifully done. The music gives it a refreshing, meditative feel. Just curious - is that stock footage or did you shoot everything yourself?

    • I think that if in the final shot with the man, you showed that he put down the phone and came out of this dream-like state, it would connect better. Beautiful film though.

    • I agree the spot is way outside the standard 3 act structure of an ad sc ript. I wanted to do something obscure and un-adlike. The images are intended to communicate with the viewer on an emotional level and connect the brand with these emotions. I know its a phone, I know it has bells and whistles, I know it looks great. that a given. But, if I buy the product, what am I buying into? A tool for expression. Joy, sorrow, amazement, wonder. Life is infinite, life is timeless, life is a string of experiences and emotions. I buy the phone, I buy the experience. Regardless, I wanted to acheive something that was unlikely to approved by a client and be aired on commercial television. It's a test idea, some like, it some don't. That's cool

    • I like the artistic composition a lot, but wkelley18 made an interesting observation (if you look past his sarcasm)- I can't help but to think that there's a very self-absorbed motivation for this commercial, as I feel it barely has anything to do with the Sony Ericsson walkman phone. However, it'd be perfect for a commercial promoting an HD prosumer camera or photographic equipment.

    • Thanks. There are some nice frames there. It's great not to be restricted too much by a brief. I'd could easily add some time to the product, maybe a sweet little transition would work better than a hard cut. Happy to forward higher res if you guys like

    • Incredible cinematography. I would love to see it in its original resolution/quality. This compressed video doesn't do it any justice. As mentioned earlier, perhaps having the sony logo/phone display longer may help viewers remember this piece as a Sony ad.

    • I tried to make something brand-y and keep away from product shots as much as possible but I think it needs a sniff of product in order to tie it all together. There's another second there I could use to round it off to 30". How many of these spots are viewed by the client?

    • No stock footage. I shot everything, some 35mm, 16mm short ends and & digital stiils. This is my first upload, I might try for higher res next time, what do you think? This was 5 meg.

    • Interesting, I like the composition a lot. You may want to have the Ericsson appear for a longer period of time, but it's good as-is

    • Was wondering did you shoot your own B-roll or purchased stock footage? Compositions were great, interesting mix, especially liked the time-lapse and focus shots.
