Youth Media: GMOs in Vermont

High School students bring video cameras from the Vermont Statehouse to a local organic farm to examine the issue of gentically modified foods in Vermont. Students interview progressive State Representatives Dave Zuckerman and Sarah Edwards, Biotechnology Industry Lobbyist Margaret Laggis, Author and Activist Brian Tokar, organic farmer Joey Klein and Food Co-op Manager Robert Kirigin.

    • with more editing and the use of many more cutaways plus music, this pod should move up the ranks very quikly because the topic is worthy of being aired.. the story is compelling to anyone who eats... hope it does well because this topic is important.

    • Good pod for youth media. It was kinda dry but definitely got the word out. Better shot composition, smoother edits, iris checks in some scenes  and maybe loose the tea time acting. Ohh if you have someone doing an interview if you can move the que card to their eyeline to keep them looking at the interviewee that helps also. Good luck with the projects guy and I'll give you my 10pt GL.

    • I got my start in TV in Jr. high school with the Clifton C.A.S.T. program, which this reminded me of. It's got all those things that brought me back to those days, dry questions read off cue cards at odd-angles, camerawork that needs refining, and some silliness throughout. Overall a great effort for kids. This is because we all started somewhere (oh how those old college films and highschool ENG packages I remember were so dreadful, but so necessary to becoming better and better at what I do today). For the effort I shall GL, because I want to support young talent like this, because I know it can only improve exponentially as you do this sort of thing more and more. -zen

    • Intresting questions durring the first 2/3 of the doc... I lmao on the part with the fortune teller though. The acting was HORRIBLE and the music made it seem like a napoleon dynamite wannabe. Overall the doc was somewhat stale, with the kids standing next to them with a blank stare on their face. it seems like they were on drugs or something. DEFINATELY a GL because it was so funny and it had a lot of good questions.
