In this pod, we have dealt with the issue of racism in America. We start with our horrific arrival on slave ships and trace our past, from picking cotton on plantations, lynching, the Klu Klux Klan and segregation. We interviewed the homeless in Oakland, a young Jamaican, and a young black man, who, with all the odds against him, has managed to succeed. We interviewed a Jewish woman, who described her encounters with prejudice from her parents.
We show how our leaders, who went before us, left us with the legacy that we are indeed a great people. We end up on a positive note showing how the young people can be the leaders of tomorrow and make a change.
We hope this pod will explain how as a people we were stripped of our identity, our culture, and our basic self-esteem and how we are still struggling to find our way. We hope to convey the urgency that until all of us are successful, we must keep helping each other.
This story can inspire both black and white youths to understand racial prejudice, move past it, and grow strong as one people, one nation.

Thanks so much for your response, I think you did a great job of telling a concise story, I was actually thinking about how hard a story on racism would be to do. Only thing I missed was some names cards to come up.
This issue is so deep-rooted in the history of mankind. You did a great job of exposing the current impacts on individuals, and the history of slavery. I loved the initmate feel of the interviews and the diversity of subjects.
