mgotanez
Video highlights one of the most urgent health challenges of the 21st Century, from the history of paid product placement to the May, 2004 U.S. Senate hearing, scientific research confirming the problem, growing youth activism, and the reasonable, effective four-step Smoke Free Movies solution endorsed by leading health groups.

    • This film could be great with just a little bit of work. I think that this film could be better used as a P.S.A (Public Service Announcement) instead of an 8 minute film, because it really shows just how young people our influenced everyday in movies and entertainment.

    • What makes the problem even more pervasive is that we export our movies everywhere -- Asia, Europe, even remote areas of Africa and South America -- and there are few anti-smoking campaigns there.

    • Perhaps Big Tabacco should pull out all product placement and see how well they do, when they're not shoving it down peoples throat...if in fact they are not responsible for a child picking up a cigarette. GL.

    • Nice a tad long but a good message.

Personally, I think any character smoking, in a movie, is a huge sign of weakness and I usually don't take them that seriously. I think this is the general consensus with movie-goers.

Then again what the hell do I know. I know I don't smoke!

    • Great message, well put together, I love the sound you use for the titles. Great job.

How did you get permission to use the movie clips? Was that also from the groups you listed?

      GL from me.

Please let me know what you think of my pod "small town climate change"
      Thanks.
