London Snowed In

When it snows in London, the city almost comes to a standstill.
On Feb 8th 2007, the big freeze brought snow to the capital, causing travel chaos. I try to make my way to the office in the city from the suburbs.

    • Hi Sholao, Enjoyed the pod but agree with other posters on the need to tighten up the end and hcange music. I like the african music that kicks in at one point. When it doesn't snow often it seems people deal better so some upbeat music works. I'll give you a GL nonetheless. Check out my updated POD which you said you'd GL with some changes. Changes made.

    • The way it was shot, combined with the story telling ... you really feel as if you were there.

      I do agree with Eleni, though, that the viewers should be told a bit more how rare it is for London to be covered in snow... to the point that the city almost shuts down, or fails to function properly.

      And while I appreciate the reflective music, it almost makes the mood a bit melancholy.

      In any case, it definitely captured my interest and I give it a GL.

    • great job sholao. I would make two suggestions, one that you explain how rare it is that London gets snow upfront (i think that thanks to Hollywood people think that a London that white is not so unusual...), and also to change the music up a bit to something hipper, sort of 'trying to get to work' on-the-move kind of music. GL! eleni

    • Abrupt ending -- could stand at least to cut away to some kind of exterior shot before fade out. But story is otherwise told very well, so GL.
