The cutting does need to be worked on. The "invention" sequences could be interleaved better throughout the piece and some sequences, such as the onion goggles, run on too long. The raw material is here, and this edit could serve as the template for a much tighter piece, so I'm giving this a GL anyway.

The begining sequence was a bit boring, but it got interesting when you brought up all the people with their ideas, I would start with that...and then bring in the real inventors. You could definitely try cutting it differently, to quicken up the pace. Great topic though.

I really like hearing what the subjects had to say and wish the attention was spread a little more evenly and we could have seen some of their other stuff. Some more editing and other perspectives would really strengthen this piece. Really show us the wider culture of inventors from various perspectives and SHOW us that it's a culture out there. Is there a convention that they go to? Places they hang out? Who are the leaders? What are the success stories? How hard is it for an every day person to pick up. The invention he showed at the end is great. I saw one of those USB splitters the other day and had no idea it was his. I'd love to see more of this culture. Thanks for educating me!
