360 degrees of separation

As modern circus performers, the job of freestyle motocross athletes is to push the envelope of what is physically possible. Flying high and falling hard, this is a glimpse inside the life and mindset of a freestyle motocross rider . This piece chronicles the story of 22 year old Jason Rowe as he attempts his first ever backflip. The results, like the rider, are well, up in the air.

    • Good stuff Bruddah! Man? Whos that sexy voice on the mic? Loved the backward sequencing on the foam ( :( ) pit.

Props to those flying beings, has he tried another one lately?

    • I really enjoyed seeing a different view of this exciting sport. By humanizing the rider, we regular people can begin to get a glimpse of understanding the individuals that are drawn to ride. The haunting musical score was really moving and beautiful. I would like to see more of this type of video and especially more about the Camp Chuck group.

    • I love the intro with the slow-motion jump in the background -- very evocative and artistic. When you watch a moto video, you always take backflips and feats of wonder for granted, but this video really shows just how amazing it is that these guys do these tricks. There's a lot at stake (uh...life itself) and enormous feats of courage required.

      Great video. Well done.

    • interesting to see that these guys are human, i always thought they were robots. I mean, how can a human do this stuff? ...apparently not easily

well made movie, i like the footage, editing and music. you did a great job of taking these guys out of the x-games/energy-drink context that you usually see them, and bringing their accomplishments into a form that a normal person can understand. well done!!!

    • It's nice to see more than just riding and tricks set to a KROQ soundtrack - the process is so interesting. Kudos to the camp chuck crew!
