Urban Therapy

Social work as a career is a very big draw for a lot of the people living and working in Portland. What happens though when these people who are often caring for others need a little care themselves? As it turns out the worn out and somewhat dilapidated parts of the city, the industrial areas, offer a respite from the stresses of life.

    • hey cardenas - thanks so much for checking it out and responding - George works with people in addiction recovery - i should have spelled that out more - the people often are homeless, which is why he wanders the industrial area looking for his clients to check up on them - thanks for the tips about dealing with the digital messiness - i'm going to try them out! i also used a pretty cheap camera which didn't help with quality

    • Great piece. Your pacing is great. You gave it a lot of breathing room. It felt good. You have a great subject and I can see you took your time with it.

      What does this guy do that he has to get away from it? I know he's a social worker of sorts but a bit more context would really make the rest of the piece sing. Also try de-interlacing your video before you export it. That will cut down the horizontal res noise.

      I really like it a lot.
