The reason Ole Funky Fingers says this is because
We cannot assume all kids have a religious preference.
Or even believe in the same religon. Instead of putting
Prayer in schools we should put more educational resources
Ie: Computer Labs, After School Programs, Job Training Coures.

Growing up in Utah as a non-Mormon, I’ve seen the cruelty of religion. Let me rephrase that, I’ve seen the complete and total INTIMIDATION that the Cult of Mormon power in Utah can wield.
Everyone should petrified of the Mormon’s true intentions. Romney should be feared! From my personal experience, the Mormons want the US government to fail so they can be the financial saviors. (They are hoarding gold!) They will smite the 8 yr old non-believers (that would be the children who would be sent out to do the smiting) and they will call those that do not belong to their religion a non-member. WFT!??? Fuckin’ Douche bags!!
It’s their true enemies that they will hunt and put down. This is not a metaphor, I know people who have, let’s say, left the church, and they have been hunted like animals. “Give us 10% or we will humiliate and destroy you.” Those that were not in a polygamist family will be “accidented” in a hunting trip. If your in a polygamist family (yea, Big Love is real), you will be osterized.
I say Fuck’em and you should all fear them for their TRUE intentions.

I think what is more to the point is that children do not have the capacity to think abstractly until their teenage years. So, forcing religion upon children at an early age is brainwashing!
