      To be honest, there were days I was a slave to it, others I wouldn't even touch it. There's no denying that they're informative, especially when it comes to transport and accommodation; per the site seeing and getting a feel of the town, that's where you should go out on your own.

      Joe was great, still is - just finished up playing with Mason Ruffner in Austin (he's quite the blues guitarist as well) - gave me loads of tips for...well, every place; but in true write fashion wouldn't give away anything, just told me to go. He's got a house up in Pai as well and runs The Pai Post, which opens it's doors to live music every few nights.

      Did you rely on the LP guidebooks in that part of the world, use other guidebooks or go more on word or mouth? Meeting up with Joe was great; did he give you specific travel advice you were able to use in the upcoming weeks?
