Parque Nacional Corcovado Costa Rica

MakaiOhana
We are always on the look out for great multi day treks. The adventure starts at 4am with a ride around the Osa Peninsula in the back of a pick up. The drive takes four hours, from there it is 23 km to the first camp, timing the hike to arrive at river crossings during low tide. The rain forest was amazing and the animals are everywhere. The next hike is another 23 km through the middle of the Corcovado and the primary rain forest. Sleeping in a tent in a jungle is like nothing else... and yes the audio you are hearing in the tent is real.

    • Your video of Penninsula de Osa was very well done. You got some fantastic shots of the creatures that live in Costa Rica. You were very lucky not to have run into the Jaguar while camping out. I was just down there and was very impressed with the people and the country. Thank you very much for the acurate mini-documentery of the Pacific side. If you have more footage maybe you can post it also. Thanks again. "bucksmydog"

    • The photography in this video is fantastic. And those sounds from the tent... Well all I know is you are all much braver than me, LOL. It must have been an exhilarating experience though. Beautiful!

The tent sounds were totally authentic. It was nothing I had ever experienced. Not scary....cool. The trip was tough(as are most of the expeditions my husband/videographer plan for us to endure.) The hike into the jungle was in kilometers. 23 kilometers per day, approx 15 miles through thick heat and sand trails. We both got rashes between our legs from the heat. Then every night was tick check. But all worth it to see the endangered animals not even afraid of humans. Highly recommend it. But must have experience in hiking.
