Community organizing for comprehensive immigration reform

The Center for Community Change and the Reform Immigration FOR America
Campaign organized state-wide youth trainings in Colorado and Florida. This video takes an inside look at what happens at these trainings, it talks about what Comprehensive Immigration Reform is, and shows how the youth is organizing their communities to fight for C.I.R.

The video also talks about the DREAM Act, the border, and the connection between civil rights, and immigrant rights.

    • If you lived in the desert, would you leave your doors wide open and then wonder why there was so many rattle snakes in your home? would you then set out traps to catch those snakes? Or would you close your doors and make your home more secure against the snakes getting in.

Why are our borders wide open and Americans are told we must protect you from the evils doers who are in our country with laws that take away our rights as citizens. Why not just try to keep the evil doers out in the first place with more secure borders and patrols along them instead of cops patroling phone lines and internet usage of the citizens that are legally here?

    • This should be on TV. Theres no doubt about it

And the reform that is needed is when they are found and can not prove they are American citizens they should be put on the next bus that leaves this country.

If they want to be reunited with their families that can be arranged too. Find out what country they are in and we will ship you there, but your family should not be rewarded with citizenship because YOU broke the immigration laws of THIS country.

No!!!! why seal off the borders, they would rather just take away our rights with the patriot act.

    • Our generation needs to create a fortified movement on this issue. I hope everyone takes advantage of the opportunity to vote. All of us must contribute to make this growing concern recognized in the United States...

    • Great video pod. This should definitely air on TV. This story makes me very proud of our youth and our community. I look forward to the seeing day where immigrants are no longer treated as second-class citizens...
