Pennhurst: A Modern Ruin

LarzNero
Pennhurst, a school for the mentally ill and disabled, was closed in 1986 due to overcrowding and abuse of patients. The ruins have stood mostly untouched to this day, tucked away in Spring City, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia.

The huge, decaying campus hides in a forest just out of sight from the daily life of Spring City. Come with us on a tour of this fascinating modern ruin. Don't stay after dark!

    • Wow...that looks like a modern nightmare....evil senators have put many of our health programs and health structures out of business. What's worse is some of these mentally ill are nightmare people. Some evil, greedy, and murderous. I worked at a big Mental institution in Norman Okla. and it was around that time those bad people started putting us out of business and although it doesn't help the people it SHOULD have always, it is still there and open. Where did all those people go? Great vid!
