I started at Current in July 2005 as a PA for the Google team, which was the best first TV job I could have imagined: in my group, rather than coffee fetching, PA's got to edit video. Next, I spent about 9 months as the Production and Futures Coordinator for the Yahoo Buzz team (translation: I developed the systems that the group used for our own workflow, to interact with other departments, etc. and I made sure those systems were being used correctly). I started at Current in July 2005 as a PA for the Google team, which was the best first TV job I could have imagined: in my group, rather than coffee fetching, PA's got to edit video. Next, I spent about 9 months as the Production and Futures Coordinator for the Yahoo Buzz team (translation: I developed the systems that the group used for our own workflow, to interact with other departments, etc. and I made sure those systems were being used correctly). After that, I spent about 9 months doing the same, plus a little writing and editing, for the Vanguard team, which was awesome, since my real passion is news. In September of 2007, with a pending move to Chicago after my wedding, instead of very sadly parting ways with Current, I was invited to transfer to the team that helps to make current.com what it is!! Now back in SF, I continue my work on the site, striving always for our balance of news, information, and entertainment for our 18-34 year old target audience!
Born and raised in Hawaii, a Duke Blue Devil forever, I feel so lucky to have found a spot at such a cool company. collapse »
