Darren began his journalism career on the print side, writing mostly about Latin America. But as Kurt Vonnegut once wrote, "We are what we pretend to be." And in 2003, Darren pretended he knew how to shoot, picking up a camera for the first time for an undercover report on Syrian mujahideen who went to fight against the US invasion of Iraq.
