Drew Dellinger, spoken word poet, teacher, and activist, is currently Associate Professor at John F. Kennedy University. Drew Dellinger, spoken word poet, teacher, and activist, is currently Associate Professor at John F. Kennedy University. Dellinger has inspired minds at hundreds of events across the U.S., performing poetry and speaking on justice, ecology, democracy, cosmology, art and activism. He has spoken and performed at conferences, colleges, poetry venues, protests and places of worship. Dellinger has shared podiums and stages with luminaries such as Cornel West, Danny Glover, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Ani Difranco, Billy Bragg, Jim Hightower, Michael Franti, Tuck & Patti, Eve Ensler, Paul Hawken and many others.

Dellinger’s work has appeared on radio, in films, and in magazines, books and anthologies. His collection of poems, love letter to the milky way—now in its third printing—has sold thousands of copies to enthusiastic readers in North America, South America, England and Australia. His poems have been shared at gatherings and conferences; in classrooms and prisons; in women’s groups, men’s groups, and Druids’ circles.

Dellinger has worked closely with scholars and visionaries such as Thomas Berry, Joanna Macy, Matthew Fox, Susan Griffin, Richard Tarnas, Charlene Spretnak and Brian Swimme. He has studied cosmology and ecological thought with Thomas Berry since 1990, and in 1997 he received Common Boundary magazine’s national Green Dove Award.
