Yes, my real name is Joe Brilliant. I had no say in the matter, really. My late grandfather (Joe Brilliant Tha 1st) emigrated from Belarus with the surname "Brilliantov" (which translates roughly to 'Diamond') and got the Assimilation Special on Ellis Island, hence, Brilliant. We're not that smart. But we are great lovers.
I was born in Ann Arbor, MI (Go Blue), whisked away to India and Nepal with my folks at age 2 (Namaste was my first word), returned to MI for a few years...
