Nibiru and Doomsday 2012: Questions and Answers

Stories about the fictional planet Nibiru and predictions of doomsday in December 2012 have blossomed on the Internet. There are now (June 2009) more than 175 books listed on Amazon.com dealing with the 2012 doomsday. As this hoax spreads, many more disaster scenarios are being suggested. “Ask an Astrobiologist” has received nearly a thousand questions about Nibiru and 2012, with more than 200 answers posted. Many new questions are similar to those already answered. Following is a list of the most popular “Twenty Questions” organized in a logical succession and answered in some detail.

    • Since the GOP came to power in TX education there has DECLINED! The GOP state of TX is now DEAD LAST in high school graduations ---thanks to back-to-back debacles: BUSH/PERRY! People who have been required by competent educational systems in responsible states are not fooled into believing in fictitious planets like 'Nibiru'. Someone should do a study. I would wager that belief in 'junk science' and various religions, cults and kooky stuff increases as educational standards decline. The AXIS of the GOP and the pernicious religious right (i.e, religious wrong) are responsible for this and many another trend that has undermined American educational standards at least since 1900!
