Amazing women, it's incredible how they have gained strength in their movement. I hope it continues to grow and they continue to shed light on the injustice that goes on.

ReneeKG: I don't think the word 'backwards' should be appropriated by/to so-called 'colonialist terminology'. An area prone to endemic drought, child-marriage and abysmal arrangements for justice, education, health and employment cannot be considered progressive, even by solely Indian standards. Welfare is a universal concern and it is not a colonial import.

I support raising the voices of these women 100 percent. But seeing an area referred to as backwards makes me absolutely cringe. This word has a seriously heavy history of dividing the world into conquerors and conquered. Please reconsider using this colonialist terminology.

Quite surprising that there isn't a backlash from the husbands and sons of the women. Maybe they're just stunned and intimidated into silence.

There are 2 major issues.It's time we men become more humane and our religion advocates it.
Secondly, time has come to release all the human potential that country needs.
Persons like you can do a wonderful job of and all educated and semi-educated men must come out and pay more than lip service.
Anyway, well made documentary and exploit your hidden potential.

I am concerned at the fine line between taking law in your own hands and doing it within/with the law keepers .

The movement is very inspiring and makes you realize what each individual is capable of doing, and also the ground realities of India. The film maker has captured the essence beautifully.

A Vogue editor once said, "Pink is the navy-blue of India." But for these women in India, the colour of their uniform, is not a fashion statement. It is inspiring, nonetheless!
