Fashion legend, innovator, and superstar Yves Saint Laurent passed away today in Paris at the age of 71.

You can say that Yves Saint Laurent was the Christian Siriano of his day having won at the tender age of 18 three of the four categories in a Paris Fashion design competition. Who won the fourth? His rival Karl Lagerfeld. Later, Saint Laurent became the young successor to Christian Dior. An exhibit spanning 40 years of Yves Saint Laurent's work opened last week at The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. To learn more about the designer and the exhibit go to: artdaily.org

PS: Siriano, we have high hopes for you now. Don't let us down
