Woman auctions virginity on eBay

Image

A 22-year-old student from California has attempted to aution her virginity on eBay, apparently in order to pay for her college education. The site has turned down her aution request, so the student is now auctioning it at a public event at the "Moonlite Bunny Ranch", a brothel in Nevada. She hopes that the bidding will reach US$1 million.

Apparently the woman already has a degree in woman studies but wants the money to find a masters degree in marriage and family therapy.

Hmm, I wonder if selling her body so publicly like that would damage or add to her credibility as a woman studies grad and marriage and family therapist. Could go either way...

I was not trying to question a woman’s worth. Women are worth love not money. She can do whatever she wants with her body, but for me something like that is worth WAY more than money. My virginity was taken from me when I was seven. That was my innocence. After that point I never thought like a child again, I was forced into an adult world. I know were not talking about this girl getting raped, but in my eyes she is selling her innocence. I know my original statement was inappropriate but I tend to be cynical about things I do not agree with. Like I said she can do what she wants and if she meets her goal then good for her, she can go to school, but after what happened to me, if I could have my innocence back I would never put a dollar value on it ever, it is much too precious to just sell.
