Orgasmic Birth!

Orgasm and childbirth are not two words you expect to find in the same sentence. But, as implausible as it may sound, increasing numbers of mothers are signing up to the Orgasmic Birth movement. Childbirth, they claim, far from being a painful ordeal to endure, can be as ecstatic and pleasurable as the moment of conception itself.

    • I seriously think this may have originally been thought up by a man, probably telling his in labour partner that she should be climaxing right now. How ridiculous......

    • i've never given birth, but i imagine this is possible. i was granted the honour of watching my best friend give birth to my godson. it was the most amazing experience i've had the pleasure of witnessing, and she never looked more at peace or beautiful.

    • I never wanted to be told what to do when having a baby unless there was an emergency.

      This clip shows how giving birth to my 3 was. I was young for my first child. I gave birth to him on 'The Farm' in Tennessee where midwives ran the show in 1979. The Farm still exists.

      They taught me about love and romance making the birth experience a lot easier. They made a book called 'Spiritual Midwifery' back in the 1970's teaching this stuff. I highly recommend a water birth also- for the mother and for the baby.

    • I think that this is just a coping mechanism for extreme pain that some women experience. I'm not convinced that any woman can do any pre-birthing exercises to "open her mind" enough to guarantee she'll experience this so called orgasmic childbirth.
