Rebounding from the first loss of the season: '4th and Forever' Friday Night Rewind

Suffering from what players called being “big headed” following a decisive season-opening victory, Long Beach Poly’s hopes for a perfect season came to a grinding halt the next week.
“After last week we just thought we were so good and we were unbeatable,” junior defensive back, Jeff Turley Jr. said.
The St. Bonaventure Seraphs came ready to play, dismantling the Jackrabbits, 32-7, at Veterans Stadium. After the game, Poly players spoke candidly and attributed the loss to a lack of focus during practice all week.
“We lost this game on Monday. That’s what happened,” standout defensive back Dabness Atkins (click here for our recap of last night's episode). “Instead of listening to the coaches, we copped attitudes.”
Long Beach Poly looks to rebound against the Narbonne Gauchos on the road in game three.
“You have got to stay level-headed,” quarterback Chaiyse Hales added. “We’ve got a long season to go.”
