Recipient of the first-ever Gamer God Award at the Spike Video Game Awards in 2008, Will Wright is indisputably a legend in the video game industry. Creator of such mega-hits as SimCity, The Sims and Spore, he has become synonymous with simulation games that challenge players to use their imaginations, ingenuity and intelligence to create their own limitless worlds. With his new Storymaker application, Will is bringing that same innovative spirit to Current TV's Creation Studios, where users can create and develop their own plots and characters for an ongoing television series.

This will be the most random, intense show. I definitely will join in on this!

Well conceived and executed idea. It will make unique and interesting characters/situations. VCAM commercials for the show maybe? Get the shows on Hulu asap.....because your mazda2 demographic does not have cable or landlines.
Looks like fun.

I like the idea of this show...the community has longed to be part of the production process and this will give them that opportunity. My only caveat is this. Please don't do to us what the creators of this website did to the community...get their hopes up, get their loyalty up and then throw them by the side of the road like so much garbage.
That was a huge disappointment when they took Vicki the news bot away and the viewer produced pods being shown on the air.

I've already pitched two ideas. This is a great idea and I hope Current gets a little more innovative in thinking. This is a nice step in the entertainment department but I would like the pods back and better news segments.

It looks stupid, I think. It takes away from the cutting edge real life pods we used to get. Instead, this looks like a Lost ripoff with the twist being that users "create" (yeah right) the plot of some science fiction crap. This is an even further step down for current--from being about REAL LIFE ISSUES before to mind numbing crap now.

While I enjoy the idea of a program that is partially run by its viewers, it seems to be a sort of way to grasp ratings without actually thinking too much.

Here's an idea: several TV executives, out of work and creatively dry, are looking for ways to reinvigorate the cash cow that has sustained them through adolescence and into middle age. Now that writers have unionized and have asked to be paid for their work, the executives decide to see if the public at large can be induced to contribute free story lines to their network. They develop a system whereby all new ideas can be put through committees until only those which are safe for mass consumption survive. Then they hand over the finished proposal to a production studio which stamps out a product. In no time at all, they've created the sitcom, which looks and feels the same but has a new name. Presto changeo!

p.s. The man made Sim City. ( he cant be all bad ) No,...really,....THAT game was good.
No "shooting",....no "dodging",....no "hand eye coordination exercises"; more like,.....well,....THINKING,.....think about it,............actual,......."t h i n k i n g". ( Almost a lost art in "GAME LAND".

I LOVED SimCity, so this guy is probably a prince. I was just pitching a story line about a bunch of acquisitive jackals who can't come up with any ideas on their own, so they sucker the public into doing it for them. How could that ever happen in real life? ;-)

I like it! Let me pitch this, an aging unemployed anarchist goes to the Karma Bar. That's were the story begins, I have much more with a plot and the twist and turns from his cross country trip beginning in Portland Oregon heading east to D.C.

Yeah. it would be great if us aussies can get involved as well. I like the potential in this. In fact, I love it! I've seen similar stuff on youtube where people comment how a certain scene will end, and the best one films it, but i've never seen anything of this ambition and scope. I can't wait to see how this evolves and I certainly hope it becomes wonderfully successful.
