Co-Creator

Bar Karma Co-Creator, Will Wright Will is the creator of such mega-hits as SimCity, The Sims, and Spore.

Recipient of the first-ever Gamer God Award at the Spike Video Game Awards in 2008, Will Wright is indisputably a legend in the video game industry. Creator of such mega-hits as SimCity, The Sims, and Spore, he has become synonymous with simulation games that challenge players to use their imaginations, ingenuity and intelligence to create their own limitless worlds. With his new Storymaker application, Will is bringing that same innovative spirit to Current TV's Creation Studios, where users can create and develop their own plots and characters for an ongoing television series.

Albie Hecht
Executive Producer

Albie has served as president of Nickelodeon Entertainment and SpikeTV. With two Academy Award nominations and a multitude of hit franchises under his belt, Albie Hecht has become one of the most influential and powerful people in entertainment. As former president of Nickelodeon Entertainment, he oversaw the development and production of such household names as "SpongeBob SquarePants," "Blue's Clues," and "Dora the Explorer." Albie went on to create SpikeTV, where he developed "The Joe Schmo Show," "MXC" and a deal to become the cable partner for the "Ultimate Fighting Championship." In 2005, he launched Worldwide Biggies Inc., the digital entertainment studio responsible for creating wildly popular, multi-platform phenomenon "The Naked Brothers Band." And in September 2010, he won two Emmys for his documentary "War Dance."

David Cohn
Current's Executive in Charge

Creative media executive David Cohn brings his more than 25 years of experience to Current TV's Creation Studios. As Executive Vice-President and General Manager of MTV2, MTV Hits and MTV Jams, he developed critically and commercially successful shows such as "Wonder Showzen" and "Celebrity Deathmatch," while also maintaining the MTV brand as a destination for cutting edge music with franchises such as Sucker-Free Sundays and the 2$Bill concert series. In addition to his two decades at MTV Networks, Cohn has also served as Vice-President of Operations at Vice Media, as well as on the Board of Directors at ConcertTV, the first on-demand and broadband network dedicated to live music.

Laura Knight
Supervising Producer

Prior to Bar Karma, Laura Knight finished filming the upcoming feature film, "Fugly". Written by and starring her producing partner, John Leguizamo, "Fugly" is an anti-romantic comedy about a New York comedian struggling to make the right choices in pursuit of love and happiness. Previously, Laura Knight worked as a Development Executive in the feature animation division at Starz (formally IDT) developing a slate of family fare, as well as, spearheaded the development of their specialty division. A graduate of the University of Southern Californiau2019s film program, Laura began her career in the talent division at ICM and over the years, has produced short films, commercials, and features for Gener8Xion Entertainment, Carsey-Werner, and HBO among others. Her first independent feature was the film "Room 314" by writer/director/actor, Michael Knowles. She also produced the short film "Argou", a joint collaboration of writer/director Michael Knowles and Jordan Bayne. She went on to produce "The Babysitters" starring John Leguizamo and Cynthia Nixon which premiered at the 2007 Toronto Film Festival and opened in theaters May, 2008. Outside of Rebel Films, Laura recently completed a rewrite on an action-adventure film set up at Lakeshore Entertainment and is working on her next screenplay with husband, writer D. Gatling Price. They are currently developing several independent projects, as well as consulting for many NY based production companies including James Patterson Entertainment, World Wide Biggies and Curious Pictures.
