Rep. Peter King held more prejudice-driven hearings on Muslim
radicalization in America today, this time focused on U.S. recruiting by
Al-Shabaab, a terrorist organization operating extensively in Somalia.
Al-Shabaab has been particularly active in Minnesota, and Minneapolis
contains the largest Somali community in the United States. So why was
Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison — the first Muslim to be elected to
Congress — turned away when he asked to testify? Well, Ellison accepted our invitation, and talks with Keith Olbermann about what he calls an “abuse of the gavel.”
