Good tip in that situation: brief the person you're with as the no name friend approaches and get them to introduce themselves first so the no name friend is forced to introduce themselves.

All these things should be a given! Holding the door and not offering up your seat are the two I see most regularly ignored. However, I would say that the last thing you want is a lady thinking you offered her a seat because she looked as if she was pregnant!

All of these points make a big impression me as well... except #8 - Watch your language. Seeing I have a mouth like a sailor, I'd feel pretty embarrassed if he was constantly saying shoot and darn and h-e-double-hockey-sticks. That said, maybe it would be good for me to try to watch my mouth... nah, f*ck that.
