CNN contributor and Democratic strategist James Carville explains why he thinks the Democrats will hold power for the next 50 years.

Mr. Carville seems to think that Democrats will be the dominant political party for the next 40 years. His basis for making this claim is the overwhelming support they receive from young voters and the disenfranchisement moderate conservatives feel towards the Republican party. Is this claim valid? If so, is it because of actions taken by the Democrats or the failure of the Republicans.

    • The GOP would run Sponge Bob if they felt that he could win !! Anybody that considered Sarah Palin and Joe The So Called Plummer to represent them, had to be smoking some serious stuff...

    • I love how people pretend to know the future.

Hillary was going to be president too, right?

Were the Democrats not in this SAME SITUATION as the GOP is now not 8 years ago?
