The $3 billion Cash for Clunkers program will shut down on Monday, the government said Thursday.
Dealers must submit any pending Clunker deals, including any necessary paperwork, by 8 p.m. ET Monday

Thank god it's over.
I mean its great for the environment to ditch hundreds of thousands of cars on our precious land right?
It's great that the TWENTY FOUR DOLLARS that comes out of my HUNDRED AND EIGHTY dollar paycheck goes to get some people cars.
Man up, get a job, buy a car straight up.
Not to mention from a humanitarian standpoint those cars could have been used by many. Not everyone is fortunate enough to dump a car for a couple thousand dollars. Some people don't have enough to pay what they got for the 'clunkers'.
