FAIL: World Record Firework Display Attempt Crashes & Burns

burukku16
An attempt to set off a world record 110,000 fireworks in under 60 seconds failed miserably in Bournemouth. Instead of going off as planned, the barge carrying the fireworks appeared to blow up and burst into flames.

No rockets shot into the skies and just six seconds in, the whole thing crashed and burned. Around 175,000 who had turned up to watch the Roar on the Shore left disappointed and faced severe delays in getting home.

Ruth Downing took some pleasure in seeing the flaming barge: "It looked like the barge just exploded and then caught fire. It was very disappointing not so much a roar as a growl. We thought it would be rockets exploding in the sky in this amazing fireworks display, but instead if you blinked you would have missed it. It was just a big bang, a blinding flash and then flames. That was probably the most exciting bit because it looked like the barge was on fire."

Yet another FAIL from Britain in the world record attempts.
