Well, this is one way to beat the crowds. A small plane reportedly made an emergency crash landing in the parking lot between a JC Penney and Toys-R-Us at the Rockaway Townsquare mall in northern New Jersey. The flight instructor and student pilot surprised onlookers as they emerged with only minor injuries. I'm guessing this doesn't bode well for the student's progress on his pilot's license.

They landed just short of a Fly-Thru McDonalds, or so I heard. Poor buggers had to get out and walk the rest of the way.

thanks god they didn't crash land in london. Because we all know that the council would have given insult to injury and slapped a parking ticket on his windscreen..
