Around 500 passengers were stuck in the tunnel under the English Channel for six hours after their train broke down.
With no light and no air conditioning, the temperatures on the train soared to 30c. Bottled water ran out and the toilets stopped working.
Paramedics were sent down the service tunnel to check on the passengers and trains were stopped in both directions while a rescue train arrived to pull the broken-down one out.
Mr Davis, from Essex, said: 'When the lights went out a few people lost the plot and were crying. We had kids fainting, one diabetic woman passed out. Guards were handing out water to start with but it ran out. What annoyed people most was the fact nobody was telling us anything.'

Wow sounds like a nightmare. No light and no air conditioning ever. I was slightly freaking out when stuck in the tunnel on the Tube for 20 mins last week & at least we had light!
