Religion — or at least religious inquiry — is something that virtually all humans have in common. In all corners of the world and in all eras of history, people have wondered about the meaning of life, how to make the best of it, what happens afterwards, and if there is anyone or anything "out there."

The goal of this website is to provide free, reliable information — "just the facts" — on the various answers that have been given to these questions, as well as the rituals and customs that go along with them. This very broad definition means that we have articles on a wide variety of world religions, both ancient and modern, as well as "ways of life," philosophies, mind-body teachings, and even some anti-religion systems like ancient Epicureanism and modern atheism.

    • They have religious inquiry in common- that is as plain as the nose on my face. Atheism is a system of beliefs. Yes, the belief that there is no God. Many atheists are anti-religion (at least, that has been my experience)

    • Just let me make a few corrections on that part, I'm not going to assume you typed that right?

      1 Humans certainly don't have religion in common.
      2 Atheism isn't "anti-religion", only people think that way against religion, not all, not even most. Atheism is basically not religion, "anti" is very much different from that.
