The newest Doll, Gwen has a very modern and realistic, but controversial story. Her father left her family, and then her mother lost her job. The fictional family is now homeless and living out of a car.
Would you buy this doll for your child? Or do you think it's inapropriate?

But how many kids can relate to that? Don't you think a doll that has had the sort of life the kid has had would be more desirable to them?
Especially if the doll's life turns out ok. I mean, that could give the kid some hope. - 2 years ago

I cannot believe this company would produce this doll. It has always stood for positive values. I would think the doll would have been the daughter of a mom that works/volunteers to make life better for those that are temporarily down and out.
They usually try to Instill kids with doing good, selfless acts as Felicity does.(Felicity is their Revolutionary period doll) - 2 years ago
