Ultimately it's up to the owners to decide with 24 out 31 needing to approve. With the current players agreement running out this year negotiations are expected to be contentious at best. Adding more controversy and less common ground is not likely to bode well for the fiery entertainer's chances.
Rush has every right to say what he chooses but it has become all to clear to him, no doubt his words have meaning and the meaning has consequence. He literally thanks God for his enemies because they boost his ratings. But after speaking such pearls as "The NFL looks like a fight between the Bloods and Crypts without the weapons" Rush will learn the hard way - ratings can't buy you happiness.

Oh Hum!
Of course they would feel the need to make a comment!
Shoot, All the big shots have watched football in the press box with Limbaugh.
There's always a glimpse of him in the press box or someone's private box during Steelers games.
You really think this changes anyones sports related relationship with Limbaugh?
Naw! These people have been sharing football opinions for ages, and they all know this too will blow over and another "big' story comes along.
Get over it. It was intended to indicate that the Eagles defense saved the game that day not the QB, that's all. - 2 years ago

And his quote about the comparing players to LA gang members or how in Pres. Obama's "America" white kids get beat up and need their own private, armed transport. What were they intended to do? You've hears some of his feelings on womens rights and seen how he treated HRC - would YOU work for his fat ass? I can see where you wouldn't but why not just get over it? His comments were just intended to be entertaining.

Wow...words have meaning.
Did you tell that to Obama when he called the police department stupid before even hearing the whole story?
----"Our men are strong and proud sons, fathers, spouses, and I am proud when they stand up, understand this is their profession and speak with candor and blunt honesty about how they feel."
-----Except the ones that cheat on their wives with certain fans....or take drugs....or hit other players with unnecessary force.
Or kill dogs, shoot citizens with guns, become alcoholics,...the list is endless.....
Yes, the NFL is FULL of upstanding citizens.

Wow relevance! Come on man, try not to jump off the rails right out of the station. None of that is an excuse for blatant racism and does not apply to the league as a whole. You're condemning a group of individuals for the actions of a few. What does that sound like to you, something Rush would whole heartedly agree with by chance?

They are acting like they are wholesome.
They are not. They excuse their behavior and it's no way near better than a "racist".
And by the way....talk about a grudge. They let Vick back to pay after he murders dogs and amidst protests and yet they seemingly forgive a man that knowingly killed dogs on purpose...but they can't forgive words.
I don't' like people that hold grudges.
I really don't like adults that hold them. Especially adults that play SPORTS for a living. They screw up more than any real adult and yet they act like they're privileged. Ha.

Did you actually just defend racism? You prefer racism to dog fighting and judge a large group of individuals by the actions of a few. One would think someone with your preferences would be way more tolerant. But no when all is said and done you're truly just another undercover bigot and with your usual lackadaisical effort you aren't even very good at that.

For someone that gets pissy like a little girl who doesn't get her dolly when someone assumes...you sure do it a lot.
I await you to call me sexists because of that comment.
Can't possibly be like what you do with Republicans. You go out of your way to call them all kinds of names and you're not nice and you can't say you're polite, because that would be a joke. For someone that doesn't like someone else calling names about groups of people you sure do it a lot. Ohnose...but it's ok because it's not about race.
You're the good guy. The one defending the "hero" side of things...sure. You keep justifying your own hate with that logic and then attack people for doing exactly what you do to others.
And another thing---I have a multi racial family. Japanese, black, Hispanic, white....not to mention my friends. This doesn't mean much nor would it justify many things anyone says if they have this kind of diversity, but what I can tolerate from people is far more and far less seriously retarded unlike you. Your tolerance is not high.
With a big family comes big arguments and name calling and anger and sorries and getting over things....I don't have any trouble in any of those fields. I also don't have trouble with people saying racial things and knowing context.
You'd be uncomfortable with what we talk about and joke about. But I highly doubt that that would be the case. People who make the biggest deal about race are the ones that tend to tell the most raciest of jokes when around their friends and find them funny.
If that's too difficult for you to understand I can break it down for you.....
I think I know why you love to use big words. It's not a problem to use them, it's really awesome to have a big vocabulary. It's matter of why you would want.
