    • The fact is, most people don't need flu shots. So it's a shame when you see healthy people going to get shots because of the fear instilled by the media and the medical field, who by the way know a lot less about nutrition and health than they think they do.

The reason people get sick is because of (preventable) deficiencies in the immune system - not because they haven't had a shot. That said, if Nutrition were a required subject throughout a person's public education there would be a lot healthier people and less worries about getting a flu.

Unfortunately, most of what people are taught in public education, the four food groups, the food pyramid and the Recommended Daily Allowance are all pathetic jokes. People need to understand how the various macro and micro nutrients work in and for the body so they can make their own decisions on what they should eat and how much and when. Then, they wouldn't be trying to follow ridiculous 'guidelines' created by idiots who think that everything can be generalized.

We the people are also individuals who have individual needs. All you control freaks and fear mongers can bug off. We don't need you to be healthy or to live happily.
