I've been fortunate enough not to have any external part of my body chopped off*. However, if I ever were to lose an arm or a leg (or anything else in between), I'd get me something along the lines of one of these.
If you can't hide it, make it a feature!
*internal's a different matter - no point having tattoos inside though, who'd see 'em?!?
