Of course its real. If you take into consideration the wide tires and speed the surface tension, its like a pond skater doing its thing.

Yeah that looks real, there was something on Top Gear I think where a guy went over water on a motorcross bike. It's all about ensuring you are going flat out and have enough momentum to get across.
Pretty impressive considering the quad bike would have been a fair bit heavier too
