Another reason to stop caging responsible adults for using cannabis that doesn't get mentioned is because it is Biblically correct since Christ God Our Father indicates he created all the seed bearing plants saying they are all good, on literally the first page, see Genesis 1:11-12 and 29-30. The only Biblical restriction placed on cannabis is that it be accepted with thankfulness, see 1 Timothy 4:1-5. Caging or punishing responsible adults for using what God says is good is immoral and just plain wrong.

    • "kaneh bosm" (קְנֵה-בֹשֶׂם), and that it is listed as an incense tree in the original Hebrew and Aramaic texts of the Old Testament. The title Christ, Messiah means literally, anointed. Early Christians used cannabis oil for medicinal purposes and as part of the baptismal process to confirm the forgiveness of sins and "right of passage" into the Kingdom of Heaven.

    • I have never seen so many articles about pot by one person. I think all you do is spend all day thinking about pot. I would ask what you do for a living but I am sure it has something to do with weed. About one out of 20 articles on this site is about pot, I guess if you have nothing better to do, write about pot. Next we will have the meth users wanting to legalize meth, it's probably in the bible too, no wait that must have been Beth oh well he created Beth too so God is fine with it. GIVE ME A BREAK !! Grow up, the 60's are gone.

    • I don't need a Bible scripture to figure out that weed is not bad for me. And neither should you. The Bible also says it's ok to kill your neighbor if you see him working on Sunday. My advice is to collect information from different ideals then smoke some and figure it out for yourself. Plus this point isn't really going to convince any members of legislature. Separation of church and state?

    • The Bible does not mention smoking weed. It's funny how people take biblical stories to support their ideas. Televangelists do it all of the time of course and pick and choose what they think backs up the point they are trying to make.
If all seeds and plants are so good, explain Poision Ivy, Sumac etc.
All things in moderation except of course poison ivy.
As I recall God told Adam and Eve Not to eat the fruit of the Tree...I guess they were stoned and had the munchies?

    • 1 Timothy 4:1-5.
1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

I neither support or oppose the smoking of cannabis. I am neutral, so please show me where, in this New Testament passage, do you see what you claim you to see where the Bible condones the usage of Marijuana ?

Wow, all you have to do is follow the link and it gives you the direct verse and everything. Way to take the initiative and do just a few seconds of work to get the answer you are looking for.

    • What book was this? Never heard of it. Who wrote it? And why would it hold any credibility in our law making process.? Must be an amazing book!

You too? Nobody wants to do their own research. (which involves clicking the link provided in the post and reading for about 3 seconds.)

I'm pretty sure "Research" is when you study FACTS to form a solution.
"Yeah dude the other day I was trying to figure out how the Higgs Bosom particle works and so I opened up the good ole holy book and there it was! Right between the anti- gay part and the give half of your money to church part."
These things don't happen. They DO conduct research with REAL people all of the time where they find that weed is not harmful.

Actually, research is process of observation and investigation in order to form a hypothesis to explain something in the world around us. It may be facts or it may not, you may come up with a solution or you may not. My intention was to point out that the exact bible verse was located in the link if you only look. As far as the rest of your comment, it really doesn't have anything to do with my point.

    • This story only seems odd because we've been conditioned to believe that being high isn't good. The same way being naked is bad.

    • Separation of Church and State please.

The day we start making/changing laws because of whatever is in some old book, I will have absolutely no faith in the government.

I'm all for legalization, but don't use the Bible as a source, lol.

    • Its nice that the bible says that but do you think that people who actually believe that stuff would take it into consideration? When we look at another religious fueled debate like gay marriage people will quote out of the bible without taking into consideration that it might not be the best book for human rights hence the you can beat the shit out of your slave and that's ethical but just don't kill him. With that being said i believe anyone who we need to reach on that "level" will be as ignorant to something like marijuana. Not to mention the unwillingness to accept scientific fact.
