Anarchy on Water: Deadliest Journeys

Hundreds of passengers cram aboard a freighter ship to travel 1,000 miles up the Congo River--a nightmarish trip that can take over a month. Since the vessel is designed to carry goods instead of people, those brave enough to make the journey must find any perch they can, while surviving for weeks without electricity or running water. Poor sanitation leads to dangerous illnesses on board, and armed gangs roam the river defending their control of local gold and diamond mines. And in the event of a shipwreck, passengers will have to swim for it; life boats or flotation jackets aren't required by law, making each river crossing a potentially fatal one.
Watch and witness the world's most dangerous journeys on land and sea, where travelers risk it all to reach their destinations.
