Neil King of The Wall Street Journal explains to Bill the difference between the terms “outsourcing” and “offshoring” in the wake of The Washington Post story about Bain Capital’s outsourcing. King then offers a tongue-in-cheek example of offshoring: Talking about Bill’s producer, Peter Ogburn, King says, “[You] don’t need Peter doing stuff in that booth anymore. [You] could get his equivalent from another country for half the price.” Peter laughs and says to King, “Don’t give [Bill] any ideas.”
