    • We have a similer format to "The View" here in the UK. It's called "Loose Women".

There's no fashion show or a sofa, but four women talking about hot topics and they have guests too.

    • HEY SARAH!
Thanks for highlighting how ridiculous this show is! I've tried to stomach it, out of curiosity, but never made it past 2-3 min. I'm so sad for Barbara, that her career has come to this.

I have an idea for another segment: THE FEAR OF ILLNESS... [insert spooky music]. Advertising has got women popping pills at the drop of a hat and has turned moms into pushers. We're actually weakening our immune systems and strengthening bacterias. Timely, now that it's cold season.

Keep up the good work! Hope you get outrageously popular!

    • Oh my word. I don't live in the US, so I don't watch The View, so I kind of naturally assumed that Sarah was exaggerating when she mentioned the whole "thinks the Earth is flat" thing. Turns out she wasn't. Wow!

    • I'm a guy that catches the view every once and a while
and I think it's part of the show, I don't think McCain has a ghost of a chance from what I've seen on the view. Elizabeth really shows the ugly side of the GOP
every time she throws out another dumb remark like what about Bill Aires a known terrorist. She's got nothing just like McCain, I can't believe the election is as close as the media says it is.

    • Used to watch the view (for entertainment) - since H-beck - so close-minded and vicious, though beautiful, I stopped. She reminds me of the pretty girls in the front row in college classes, with the short skirts/tight jeans, who received good grades without reading a book.
      They do try though...

wow, that wasn't sexist. because if you're pretty you couldn't possibly get straight A's because you're a great student, right? you obviously need to hide in the back of the room in overalls (pref. with brown hair) to be smart. lol...

    • Proves how far far far far left Hollywood is !

This show is brainless. Yes even Barbra is brainless on this show and extremely unprofessional.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

    • Other than Barbara Walters, the View girls know as little about political issues as does Sarah Palin... It cannot be taken too seriously, it's just entertainment!

    • The View is such a sad white-washed sample of American women. Other than the occasional comment by Whoopie, the only reason I've ever searched out clips on YouTube is to hear Hbeck try to defend her Republican politics. That was great! ;)

    • I don't understand why so many people care what a bunch of Chatty Cathies have to say about politics anyway.
Let's face it, The View's target market is hardly the intellectual elite.

    • Your parallel is hilarious and sadly, probably true. What a fascinating sample of American female voters. I certainly hope one of Ms. Shepard View-sisters will talk to her at the bar or in the kitchen to let her know what the facts are without the emotional hype of Ms. Hasselbeck, and the rest of the uninformed crowd.

    • I feel so dumb, I watch clips of the view to try and get a female perspective on issues. Most Girls I know treat politics like it's a personal topic and refuse to talk about it. But then I met you Sarah!

    • I think that the view is a wonderful place to get political information as a secondary source, you still need to educate yourself from other places.
