This makes me angry. I think its terrible for someone to do this. she is not brilliant....is this really where people want their tax dollars to go?

Second thought. If we want to save the planet, we have to take care of the excess population. We can't do that by eliminating the males, _Iran_ proved that. They Kill all the males over age 9, and the population STILL goes up!

So we just set up concentration camps and gas chambers for the Octomoms! Save the planet-no more greenhouse gases-green is good-what's wrong with that? Oh, that's right. We have a government to PROTECT individuals--not the other way around.

I know a girl who sending money to her. She is in fact mentally ill. I could care less about what her intentions were. I just couldn't imagine growing up in a house that feels like a foster care home. Talk about setting your kids up for failure. At least 8 of those kids will develop a middle child syndrome.

what a crazy society she goes and has more kids than all my neighbors combined, no money, no job living off her mother and she is treated like she saved the world or something. Meanwhile thousands of kids are living right now in tent cities because their PARENTS lost their jobs or home. Where are the good doers for these people? Or don't they count cause they did it the right way. Wonder how many grandkids she will have by the time the 8 turn 16.

OMG! Who cares about this women and her welfare??? She's not the first women in America to have 14 kids and live off the government. What's more disgusting is that the media throws you people a bone and you chase it like the dogs you are. What you should be steaming over is how are country has been hijacked by rogue politicians and corporate America; our serious environmental and energy crisis; and the current depression... ooops, I mean recession.

FYI, corporate America is the biggest benefactors of Government assistance and welfare. We supposedly live in a free market with Democracy. Somewhere along the line we've severely gone off course. The fascination with meaningless media and numbing information presented by the media and other influencers, which you all find so amusing and dare I say "entertaining", is just rubbish to keep your pea size brains distracted.

She received a House, she didn't have to pay for and she has round the clock care for the new babies, that she doesn't have to pay for. And the last I hear it was Octomom's mother that said she took care of the other 6 children. She may not have time to paint her toe nails but I bet she has the time to go to the spa for a pedicare. And I wonder who's paying for that? .......I am sure that all 14 children will not lack for anything. They will probably have more than many children. I wouldn't feel too badly for these kids, they will be fine, they have a very clever mother......and don't forget your tax dollars!

something is real crazy here!!! the 'MOM actually started doing this (egg injection)at 21 .this doctor claims it is good publicity for other people who wants to get pregnant... but i "m feeling she is like a genetic testing ground for the women who consider this the way to get babies...she is certainly making money from doing this ...i seen her in a video in TARGET shopping for baby items (courtesy of DR. It was really interesting to hear Nadya say that she honestly believes she was irrational in having fourteen children. This whole time we've been convinced that she's a nutcase, and she's very aware of using the media to get her the help she needs to take care of a situation her recklessness got her into.

I say give the woman a shot at Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, too. She played the right chords on everybody's instrument, and ultimately walked away with a problem solved.

there is something really weird about this ...she does resemble a.j home-wrecker in a heavier way ...i think she is suffering from wanting to be a.j homewrecker so bad.. she tried to out-do a.j by having more babies and it sure did get her the national attention that a.j does each time.. she gets a new one...she may really love babies but as they grow up she is going to feel like the "old woman in the shoe ... i even would bet her kids will get to go to college darn it ! the children will need more as time goes on !! i just pray that they all are heathy and loved!

what i find interesting is that we're living in an era where a great poet like Saul Williams is proving the power of spoken language, its affects and impact on humanity and people that profess to be conscious beings are cursing these children with such hopelessness and disregard^ what are we, fortune tellers, now?
i see a family that's been given an opportunity to survive in this moment; our communal support will surely get them through the next^ my intention isn't judgemental here but i feel quite hopeful for their future^

Like they say in Russia "Wow what a country". I have to hand it to her, but she is under the microscope of the media and any screw ups and she's in trouble, but she is a celebrity of sorts and knows how to use her 15 minutes of fame. Smart Person, I just hope she can be a good mother to her children and coming from a family of 15 I doubt it. With that many brothers and sisters you never really develope a close relationship with your parents and have to fend for yourself. Not having great guidence is a bad point especially later in life. Also to have enough money to educate that many children is a real drawback. None of my brothers or sisters have a college education, some of us tried but did not have the cooperation of the parents so it was hard. I hope her children fair better. I regret coming from a large family and have no children to this day. She may be smart but how smart and how her children will suffer or prosper depends on her. I have my doubts and would like to see where they are in 25 years or so.

The Octumom...Wow! A new term regarding Child Birth, and Motherhood...This story isn't going away soon it seems. One thing we have to remember is, neither are these prescious children. Yes, their mother may need medical evaluation and treatment..However we may have witnessed the births of a few doctors, and lawyers, philantrophist, an embassador , and even a future president. If we add up the medical expenses for premature births, and imagine it being shared with 8 individual families..then.? The initial act is somewhat unethical, however do we want to contribute to a more hostile invironment for these children. Our children learn from us! Ofcourse we may be watching a REALITY Show, in the not so distant future... And Octumom. will be laughing all the way to the Bank!....Perhaps she'll sign an IOU, and repay the state. Then we all win!
