    • After the success of its predecessor, the advent of the 2010 Toyota Prius created a lot of expectations. But instead of incorporating sought-after features such as a lithium ion battery pack or plug-in capability, Toyota opted for incremental changes, tweaking the power train to get more power and better fuel economy.

    • I've rented a few Prius cars for road trips. It gives you an instant sense of superiority.... ya... it's all those things Ben was talking about. ** BIG SMILE **

    • Sorry but that Current piece of so called journalism is f* up! Don't you guys go to journalism classes? Do they hire you right out of Starbucks? No wonder newmedia has not made any money in the 5 years they operated. Get on with it and get some real news to make pods about. Is Al Gore even involved in this? I can't believe that he sees this crap.

I agree that this particular segment isn't funny at all, but it's not really going for hard-hitting journalism either. Also, this is a bad representation of the style of humor of the show as a whole. Infomania isn't so much a news show as it is a comedy show about news, the media, current events, contemporary culture and such, and you should definitely try checking out a whole episode (current.com/infomania) to see what it's about. If you make a habit of consuming any news at all, it's funny... and if you, say, have friends/roommates/family members who adore fox news, blast top 40s music, or love MTV reality shows, it's hilarious. :D

    • UUUM, If You can't get laid on the strength of Your personality & have to resort to spending money, I'd just like to point out thet You can rent a whole bunch of hookers, repeatedly, for what You spend on this POS car.
...on the other hand, can somebody tell Me how to discourage the mindless diseased sluts that wanna bang Me just because I decided to start riding a Motorcycle again?!?

    • It doesn't handle tight turns well. But you can completely ignore the gas mileage thing, and it guns pretty well. However - I have yet to get off work and find naked young men sprawled over it, waiting for me. Perhaps Ben lives in a parallel universe?

    • I don't think the prius was made to ride like a luxury car or handle like a sports car. I'm pretty sure the whole point of the car was to make an affordable high mpg car. Once you start putting in higher quality suspension, sportier tuned transmission and engine, more comfortable seats, more driver friendly dash you start adding weight which will lower your mpg. So you kindof have to expect that there is going to be a trade off for that better mpg. At least for right now, hopefully soon it will be a different story. So even a "car guy" like your bf will want something more eco friendly.

    • My boyfriend was given a prius as a rental car once. He's a "car guy," but he said this thing was practically un-driveable. Like, it handled like one of the worst cars ever created on earth, got horrid mileage, and the physical layout of the car from the driver's standpoint was extremely uncomfortable.

As soon as he returned that Prius to the rental joint, he started getting laid left and right... by me! So I guess Prius isn't all it's cracked up to be in the "quality car" department OR the "getting laid" department.

Great video, though! Your soapbox spots remind me of those old black & white dennis leary rants on MTV. Keep up the great work, Ben!

It's true, the interior isn't all that ergonomic. It handles like a boat too. I don't understand why manufacturers feel like they need to make hybrids looks so ridiculous.

Great post all in all, I think it highlights that the idea of a "good" car is totally subjective. But I do have to say "got horrid gas mileage," relatively speaking, is simply not true. Unless you are comparing it to other Hybrids.

    • This is too guy-oriented. What about women who buy a Prius? Please re-issue this editorial and include whacky references to guys pleasuring gals.

Hm, but then that would leave out our gay friends...

Please re-issue this and refer to all possible sexual permutations. Thank you.

P.S. I just bought a Prius, and if you don't like it, you can suck my dick. Wait. No you can't. Oh hell, forget it.
