thank you....i feel better now. i got to hand it to him this particular segment does stimulate the thought process. about accountability in the media, this is a slightly more responsible critique of the mainstream media and it ends on a light note.... nice ben, point taken; although it could do with a little more pertinent issues concerning our nations best interests-subjects in global context and other crisis. however it is a bit more conducive to the pandemic going on and i am not talking about swine flu, no, it has to do with media sensationalism. aren't there other things that they could be reporting on? really?

The thing about Ben's statement is that it's very true. Until it's not. It's a silly non-problem exactly because it is over played. If it wasn't over-played, it might not be silly at all.
It does open the crying wolf problem. Eventually people are going to stop believing, because they see nothing, and then a whole bunch of people are going to die. Maybe not this outbreak. maybe not the next one, but eventually.
